Louie with Gabe's drawing.jpg

Congrats Louie Shebestak

Winner of the Gabriel Carlsson drawing. It was neat to watch Louie take his drawing one game down to the glass and place it there for him to see it. Gabe skated by and then stopped, smiled and threw a puck over to him to take home. So two awesome souvenirs from a fantastic player.

Katie Nichols was SUPER excited to get Matiss Kivlenieks drawing. I told her about him drawing and how he was trying to make sure everything was so straight with that flag. Congratulations Katie!

We will certainly miss him (until hopefully he comes back)

The CHBC shall exist:

To support charitable causes and organizations:

  • Provide scholarships for senior high school hockey players who will attend college;

  • Provide monies directly to individual charities in which (CHBC) members participate in the charity and/or activity; and

  • Provide hockey tickets and equipment to school children.

To promote interest in hockey throughout the community

PLEASE NOTE: Due to severe winter weather conditions - the Halloran Hockey Day event was postponed.

Thanks to Justin Sterling and all the other volunteers who tried to make this a success this year. Find out what you can do to help our Halloran Huskies for the future or for questions on if this even will be rescheduled, contact: Halloran Park at (216) 664-4187 for more info.

On January 20th visit Halloran Park for their first ever “Halloran’s Day of Hockey”. It's a day of hockey to celebrate diversity and gender equality in hockey. Which has our local Halloran Huskies (ages 8-17) players facing off with kids of the Columbus Ice Hockey Club (CIHC), an NHL Hockey is For Everyone program. CIHC is the official NHL Hockey is For Everyone team for our Columbus Blue Jackets. Games start at 12pm and will feature an all ladies game as well. Both hockey programs focus on giving inner-city kids a chance to learn and experience hockey that they may not ever have a chance to.

Some of these players will be wearing the equipment we’ve gathered through donations. If you cannot make the tournament visit Halloran for their Open Skate days/times. Skate rental is only $1.00!!

If you want more information on how you can donate used equipment please stop by our table during home games or ask to get in contact with Trustee John Boblick.
